Message to My Patients

This message is for individuals who were under my care at UCHealth Parkview Behavioral Health Clinic (UCHealth Parkview) in Pueblo, Colorado. The Professional Services Agreement under which I provided clinical services at UCHealth Parkview ended on 29 January 2026. As a result, I am no longer seeing patients at that location.

During my many years at Parkview, it has been my privilege to work with you in your treatment and recovery. My highest professional obligation has always been — and remains — the continuity, safety, and quality of your psychiatric care.

As a physician, my practice is guided by the core principles of medical ethics:

  • Beneficence – acting in the best interest of the patient

  • Nonmaleficence – the commitment to do no harm

  • Autonomy – respect for each patient’s right to make informed decisions

  • Justice – providing fair and equitable care to all

These principles continue to guide every decision I make.

Continuity of Your Care

If you wish to continue treatment with me, I will make every reasonable effort to accommodate you at AT Psychiatry, PLLC. You also have the option to continue your care with other qualified providers at UCHealth Parkview or elsewhere. Your treatment decisions should be based on what is best for you, and I fully support your right to choose the clinician and setting that meets your needs. I understand that changes in care can be stressful, particularly in behavioral health, and my team and I are working actively to reduce disruptions as much as possible. After communicating with clinicians at UCHealth Parkview, I understand that they are assisting with short-term medication refills to support continuity during this transition. My focus throughout this transition is to ensure that no patient experiences an interruption in clinically necessary psychiatric care.

Insurance and Scheduling

At this time, several insurance plans are accepted at AT Psychiatry, PLLC, through a third-party billing partner, Headway. You may:

  • Verify whether your insurance is currently accepted

  • Request an appointment through my Headway page.

If you prefer to pay directly, appointments may be scheduled using the link below. But, if you are covered by TRICARE, Medicare, or Colorado Medicaid, we will make every reasonable effort to ensure that clinically necessary care continues while we work toward insurance participation.  For those who prefer to have an in-person visit with me without traveling to Colorado Springs, you may do so on Thursdays. I have arranged to be present in an office within the premises of Willow Tree Counseling  located at 1401 Fortino Blvd, Suite B, Pueblo Co 81008, every Thursday from 0800 through 1700.

A Personal Note

I recognize that this transition may feel abrupt and difficult. It has been an honor to be involved in your care, and I remain deeply committed to your well-being. My team and I will respond to all inquiries as quickly as possible. As a small practice experiencing a high volume of patient outreach, response times may be up to 72 business hours. We sincerely appreciate your patience. There is no cost to contact our office for assistance with this process.

Very respectfully,

Art Terhakopian, MD, MPH
